5. 2004 Ford Focus - Suggested by N/A POWAAAHH
"MY04 ford focus. terrible, terrible, terrible." Not much more needs to be said.
4. 2004 Hyundai Elantra - Suggested by Arch Duke Maxyenko, Great Job
"2004 Hyundai Elantra, it's my friend's. The gear selector broke off in my hand. My views of Hyundai is forever tainted." Well that sounds awful. 2004 wasn't a good year for cars, was it?
3. 1987 Ford Taurus - Suggested by Birddog
"An 87 Taurus.
It was 4 years old when I got it and it lasted two more before I traded it in at a "push, pull or tow it" dealer sale.
It was towed in on a rollback, the towing company knew me on a first name basis..
Random
overheating issues, constant "could not duplicate" EEC issues, 5 TFI
module replacements, rust like I've never, ever seen before or since and
finally a toasted transmission put it out of my misery." Hey, at least it made you make friends with the towing guys, so it can't be all bad....right?
2. 1996 Renault Twingo - Suggested by Borsuq
"A 1996 Renault Twingo. The starter motor would only work every 3 tries, and the engine would make horrible noises while starting. The clutch was bad, the engine was awful, the dashboard was shit and the exhaust was coming off. It was horrible in every way apart from interior space. That was actually impressive!" At least the interior space made up for it. Oh wait, it didn't."
1. Rental Cars/Driver's Ed Cars - Suggested by Slave2anMG, JqJ213, m-b-w, quarterlifecrisis, EL_ULY, and Hi, I'm Nibby!
Basically, they all suck. Although, as we know, they still are the fastest cars in the world. My driver's ed class got brand new Impalas the semester after I took it, those tools. I had to drive a 2013 Impala....which was the same as a 2006 Impala...awful car.
Honorable Mentions - Everyone else. Good job guys, you've driven shit.

Saturn Ion needs to be on this list. It is one of the only car that can make a Ford Focus or Toyota Corolla or Hyundai Elantra look like an enthusiast driving machine.

My neighbor (at least I think it was him) smashed his Ion into a tree two days ago.

I was probably intentional.
(but on a serious note I hope he is ok)

I'unno, a Renault Twingo would be nice for me right about now.

I have no idea if he is or not, but he probably is because it didn't look that bad. They just left the front bumper in the woods lol. My neighbor is a mega tool, he blasted music everywhere, ground every gear and drove like a maniac

The Twingo's a bit unfair. Any car which hasn't been properly maintained won't be fun to drive, but if you're driving a Twingo in good condition and not having fun, you're doing it wrong.
I've had the singular displeasure of driving a Daihatsu Charade for a hundred miles or so, once. That thing was truly dreadful to drive, despite being well-maintained.
The exterior appearance actually understates how awful it is dynamically.

I didn't really explain my choice earlier (1986 ford f-150) I love the car but it drives horribly. I drove it in Maine where the roads have more cracks than scarface, which didn't help because the suspension bushings are shot. The steering is extremely vague and it takes a full lock of steering to so around a slight bend. Actually the only thing that I have driven that is similar to it is a 24ft pontoon boat.

I didn't know this was a thing today. I once worked for a pizza place that employed a fleet of Yugos for deliveries. More to the point, I took the job specifically so I could say that I once drove a Yugos. Interesting cars. Yeah, that's a good word for them. Interesting.

1st gen Aveo with too many miles on it. By too many I mean any at all. There was literally no reason to own that car instead of walking everywhere. The brakes were completely overwhelmed above 10 mph. So was the ability of the engine to accelerate the vehicle, to be honest. The speaker on my old flip phone sounded better than the radio. With about 40k on it, it already felt (and sounded like) it need new...everything in the suspension. If you could call it suspension. More like bump amplification system. All of this wrapped in a nasty, ugly body and an interior that looked like it was designed by a blind man and built by monkeys out of reject plastic from the Rubber Maid factory. I would not wish that car on my worst enemy.

My whole life I've only seen one Yugo. Had no clue what it was and then freaked out because I never thought any had lasted long enough to be seen in my lifetime. It was like the first time I saw a Ferrari, but much more ironic.

I disagree with rental cars, as 2 of the best cars I have ever driven were rental cars, a 2013 BMW 328i, and 2013 BMW x5

Most rentals are crap though. You've just got good ones.

Yes I drove one of these bad boys a few times. Belonged to my girlfriend. It was a complete and utter POS and nearly killed us.

Really? Where I am from K cars have a history of lasting forever.

Who gives a shit if they last forever if the brakes and suspension suck to the point they are a hazard to drive. The hardtops weren't nearly as bad as the convertibles for whatever reason.
